How to Make an Indian Marriage Blouse:
Materials you'll need:
- 2 meters of fabric (silk, cotton, or any other fabric of your choice)
- Sewing machine
- Measuring tape
- Fabric scissors
- Pins
- Needle and thread
- Embellishments such as beads, sequins, and embroidery thread (optional)
Step 1: Take accurate measurements Before you start making the blouse, take accurate measurements of your bust, waist, and armhole. This will ensure that your blouse fits perfectly. Measure the bust at its fullest point, the waist at its narrowest point, and the armhole around your shoulder.
Step 2: Cut the fabric Using your measurements, cut the fabric into the required pieces. You will need to cut two pieces for the front and back, two pieces for the sleeves, and one long piece for the neckline.
Step 3: Sew the front and back pieces together Take the two pieces of fabric for the front and back of the blouse and sew them together along the sides. Make sure to leave an opening for the armholes.
Step 4: Add sleeves Take the two pieces of fabric for the sleeves and sew them together along the sides. Then, attach them to the armhole opening on the blouse.
Step 5: Create the neckline Take the long piece of fabric for the neckline and fold it in half lengthwise. Sew the two ends together to create a tube. Then, attach it to the top of the blouse.
Step 6: Embellish the blouse If desired, add embellishments to the blouse such as beads, sequins, and embroidery thread. These can be added to the neckline, sleeves, and/or the front and back of the blouse.
And voila! Your Indian marriage blouse is complete. Wear it with a traditional saree or lehenga and you'll be ready to attend any wedding or formal event.
